Driver charged with careless driving after failing to stop

A 64-year-old Guelph man has been charged with careless driving after he failed to stop at the London Rd. E. and Cardigan St. intersection.

The incident took place on May 6, at approximately 11:30 a.m.

The 2005 Toyota Corolla vaulted a grassy raised bank beside the Goldie Mill Park parking lot.

Guelph Police estimate the car traveled about 15-meters in the air before coming to rest in the parking lot.

The vehicle sustained damage, but there were no reported injuries.
